SOrry I have been away for such a long time. To be honest I have been burning the candle at both ends on the competition and so was banned from doing more than a couple of hours on the computer in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening. As you can imagine, this makes fulfilling my obligations to my team of helpers rather difficult....

The more time I spend in Second Life, the more I love it. It was the community that I loved so much with Uru, and there is a different sort of community in Second Life - people in Uru were on their best behaviour. In Second Life there is far more variety I find.

What I love best about Second Life is the creativity. There is always something to be made or built, especially while we work on the game. Things have not gone smoothly. One of the team members has been ejected because she simply didn't do anything. The people who have been helping me who are not on the official team - and therefore are not in line for any prizes - felt it was totally unfair that she should be an official team member and yet do nothing.

I now have two castles, a bedroom in the sky, and a waterside retreat, and I am paying about three times as much as the wildest estimate of the cost of Uru live. I am having great fun though, as well as working hard. We have had to revise the plans for the game...originally i imagined more than 40 small games, and teams working their way around a random seven games for each session in the Mysterious Journey, but because we have had scripting problems, it seems we will only have fourteen games there by the time we go live.

My favourite game at the moment is an Egyptian game, in which you have to learn how to read hieroglyphs in order to solve the puzzle. They are real hieroglyphs, which mean what I have said they mean in the game, so it is educational too, lol.

Real life begins to look rather pallid by comparison, which is a bit of a problem. It is very seductive to be in a place where you have status, a wonderful figure and always impeccably beautifully coiffed hair. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am sitting in my scraggy old pyjamas, not dressed to the nines with a ball gown and high heels.

I went down into town with my younger son one day, and remarked that it was a nice day, and good to get out. Yes, he replied, taking my head in his hands, and it goes all round, not just in front of you!

I will be better about updating this diary. But I may still be erratic for a couple of weeks...bear with me.xx
