This list is intended as a place for general discussion on Network (particularly Internet) security. There are a lot of lists already out there on this topic, but almost all are specialist, announcement, alert or vendor-specific, whereas this list encompasses all aspects of IT Security, from (e.g.) AV software on your home PC through to PHP vulnerabilities in your Web applications. Of particular interest to the owner is general server security, whatever platform. At the time of writing this, the owner is unsure how discussions will pan out, what the traffic levels will be like, or whether any discussion will even take place! Come on in and see, and if it's too quiet, say something! Membership is subject to approval, but at the moment the owner cannot think of *anyone* that won't get through...! Using front-line
To post a message to all the list members, send email to front-line@securitygremlin.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to front-line
Subscribe to front-line by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
