These e-mail lists are a mixture of discussion lists (where all subscribers can post) and announcement lists (where you only receive mail). See the World of Sense FAQ for a full explanation of how you use them.

The lists work on completely different systems to the websites, so you'll need to register separately to use the e-mail lists, but you only need to do it once to access all the lists in this section, including the ones on different servers. In other words, once you tell one of these list servers about yourself, you can use the same account to log on and subscribe to other e-mail lists.
